European Road Safety Charter

The Responsible Young Drivers are signatories of the European Road Safety Charter.

In Europe, the agreed method to more road safety is the principle of "shared responsibility". Beyond all institutional rhetoric, each and everyone has a role to play to make Europe’s road safer. In this respect, the European Road Safety Charter is an invitation from the European Commission for all members of society to make their own measurable contribution to improving road safety and decrease the number of road fatalities.

The European Commission has an important role to play to improving road safety. Through this charter, the Commission wishes to offer to all actors (institutions, associations, companies) the possibility to share ideas and projects on a European level and through this, learn from each other and exchange best practices in order to improve road safety in Europe.

In exchange, the European Road Safety Charter offers recognition for every signatory in all Europe and moreover, gives visibility to the actions they have implemented.

In signing the European Road Safety Charter, the Responsible Young Drivers contribute to the improvement of knowledge and exchange of best practices on road safety in Europe, and it gives one more time a European dimension to our actions.
